About us

Marcus started his training as a young boy in Copenhagen under the tutelage of Royal Danish Chef Jesper Vinding. He later served as an apprentice to prize-winning chef John Bach Sørensen and was Chef de Cuisine at the Newport bar and Rotisserie in Hellerup, Denmark. And at the Asterisk and Obelisk restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island, in 2018, he returned to Denmark as Chef de Cuisine at the Liselund Castle Hotel on the picturesque Island of Møn. He creates and recreates his gourmet dishes from around the globe, blending French and American cuisine with a dash of warm and gentle Danish Hygge.
